Obviously, veggies are healthy, but I would rather make myself a burger and die happily.
Relatable, isn’t it?
However, unlike other junk lovers over there, I prefer making burgers on the stove. Do you know the best part? Stove made burgers can be juicier than the pan or oven baked burgers.
Now, you might be thinking that how can I get the soft puffy bun or that juicy shaped patties without the grilling method?
Then check out how to cook a burger on the stove down there and impress your tummy!
First Thing First
Sometimes, you give your best but still can’t get the soft and tender flavor in each layer of your burger. Ever thought why this happens? Well, maybe it’s because of the bun that you chose, which can’t retain the moist.
To troubleshoot this mess, you gotta buy some quality buns. For your help, I would love to suggest Kaiser rolls and sesame seed buns. But for hamburgers ciabatta, rolls will be a smart choice.
Beef Or Chicken?
No wonder beef burgers are the yummiest among all the burgers right there. But chicken burgers can also offer amazing flavors.
However, readymade patties can be an easy choice for you, but I would like to suggest ground beef with less than 30% fat, and then seasoning it with preferred spices and giving it an oval shape.
Also, you can get ground beef from butcher case. On the contrary, chicken patties should be made from farm-raised chickens.
Moreover, you can store the ground chicken or beef in the fridge for later.
Ingredients, Direction And Prep Time For The Patties
The secret of juicy mouth-watering burgers is in the patties. Hence, it’s important to work on your burger patties more than anything.
A few ingredients and a little bit of cooking will be enough for your midnight craving delight.
- Ground chicken or beef
- Olive oil
- One clove of garlic
- One pinch of sugar
- Salt half teaspoon
- Black pepper
- 4 chopped Bread
- Smoked paprika
Preparation Time: All around 30 minutes.
Making Burger on The Stove
Here is the step-by-step process of making burgers on a stove.
Step 1: Put your frying pan on the stove at low heat and add some olive oil in it. Then sprinkle the chopped onions, black pepper, garlic, salt and a pinch of sugar. Toss them over and over again until the ingredients turn brown. Now, the reason for adding sugar is to bring the caramel texture to the patty.
Step 2: Take a grinder and add the marinade you made in step 1, 4 chopped bread, one chicken or beef cube, smoked paprika, salt again, thyme and mint. Now grind them properly to avoid lumps. The marinade is ready here.
Step 3: After placing the marinade in a bowl, add minced beef or chicken, olive oil, and one egg. Now do the mix-mix. Do it with your hands and combine the ingredients nicely. The ground meat should be covered with all the spices.
Your patty is ready to get some heat on the stove!
Step 4: Refrigerate for 1 hour to bring out the extra moisture. Afterward, separate them into as many patties as you want.
Step 5: Put a nonstick pan on the stove, add just a drop of olive oil and cook the patties. Don’t be harsh or spooky while placing the patties on the pan. Avoid tossing it too much. Change each side after approximately 4 or 5 minutes. Use a rubber made heat resistant spatula to flip the patty sides.
Next, you can see your patties ready on the stove!
- Use a potato masher to form the patties. Just make a circle from the patties and press them with the potato masher. It makes your patties soft and spice absorbent.
- Give your patties a dimple shape.
Step 6: Get your preferred buns and cut them from the middle. Now garnish it with some butter and grill it on the stove in low heat. Well, it’s not compulsory, but this releases a mild crisp and better texture.
Now as your burger buns and patties are ready, garnish it with some mozzarella cheese or parmesan and let it melt inside in low heat again on the stove. You can also use sliced cheese to skip the melting part.
Step 7: When it comes to adding extra flavors into your burger, you’ll need some extra layers to burst the flavor inside your mouth. For this, you can use onion rings, tomatoes, lettuce, or curry sauce.
Then, you have your burger that you can now feast on.
Honestly, you need to master cooking the patties on the stove because sometimes the patty remains uncooked in some edges and overcooked on the other hand. You should touch the patties while cooking with your fingers gently.
If it feels like a water balloon, then it’s not cooked yet. Give it one more minute to get the crunchy avatar.
